Privacy Policy
HYVE Ether OS is local-first by design. The Software does not phone home, send telemetry, or upload your activity. The Site collects the minimum information needed to deliver your founding-access license and respond to support inquiries. This policy describes what we collect on the Site, what stays only on your device, and what (if anything) is ever transmitted between the two.
1. Information the Site collects
At checkout: your email address, the no-refund acknowledgment flag, and a payment-provider session identifier (Stripe session ID or Coinbase Commerce charge ID). We do not store your card number, CVC, or bank account number — those are handled exclusively by Stripe or Coinbase Commerce.
License delivery: we generate a license key tied to your email and store the key, the email, and the timestamp.
Optional newsletter or waitlist: if you opt in, we store the email you provided. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Server logs: Vercel records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL, response code) for up to 30 days for operational and abuse-prevention purposes.
2. Information that stays on your device
The Software stores all of the following only in ~/.hyve/ on your local machine, encrypted with keys derived from your operator vault: agent state, conversation history, model outputs, files processed by Studios, identity keys, marketplace bearer tokens, and telemetry events. None of this is transmitted anywhere unless you explicitly enable a feature that transmits it (for example, deploying an agent to the Nexus marketplace, or opting in to a crash report).
3. Encrypted relay endpoints
HYVE Ether OS connects to a small number of relay endpoints on www.hyveether.com for: marketplace listings, license validation, software updates, optional cross-device sync, optional inter-user messaging, and optional crash diagnostics. Where these endpoints carry your data, the data is end-to-end encrypted using post-quantum-resistant primitives before it reaches our infrastructure. We cannot decrypt encrypted relay payloads even under subpoena. The specific cryptographic constructions are documented at /security and in the public technical specifications.
4. Cookies
The Site uses only the cookies strictly necessary to operate (auth session, payment session). We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. We do not embed third-party trackers.
5. Analytics
The Site may use first-party privacy-respecting analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) which record aggregate, IP-anonymized traffic data. No personally identifying information is logged for analytics.
6. Third parties we share data with
- Stripe — to process card payments. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Coinbase Commerce — to process crypto payments. Subject to Coinbase's privacy policy.
- Resend — to send your license-key email and transactional notifications.
- Turso — to store license records and marketplace listings.
- Vercel — to host and serve the Site.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners. Period.
7. Your rights
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, request correction or deletion of your data, or unsubscribe from any communications, by emailing majixx@vibesoftwaresolutions.com. We will respond within 30 days. Deletion requests will preserve only the minimum information needed to honor your founding-access license (a hashed license-key reference) and any legally-required transaction records.
8. International users
If you are accessing the Site from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-protection law, you have the additional rights granted under that jurisdiction's law, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. The lawful basis for our processing is contract performance (delivering your license and operating the Site) and legitimate interests (preventing abuse and operating the service).
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have, contact majixx@vibesoftwaresolutions.com and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may revise this policy. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date and communicated to founding members by email where reasonably possible.
